Your Free Trial and What Happens After
Your trial lasts 14 days from signup. A credit card is required upfront, and billing begins automatically at day 15 unless you cancel before then.
The 14-day trial
GuestsKey gives every new account 14 days to try the product before any charge. You’ll enter your card details as part of signup — the trial doesn’t start without one.
Why a card is required upfront
Because your card is already on file, there’s nothing further to do to start being billed: GuestsKey charges it automatically once the trial ends. If you don’t want to continue past the trial, cancel before day 15 — cancelling stops the charge from happening.
What happens at day 15
If you haven’t cancelled, billing starts on day 15, based on the devices connected to your account at that point. See How pricing works for how that charge is calculated.
If a payment fails
If a billing charge fails — an expired card, insufficient funds, or a decline — you have a 7-day grace period to update your payment details. To be precise about what this window is: it runs from a failed payment attempt. It is not a data-retention period, and it has nothing to do with cancelling. If a charge never fails, it never applies to you.
Resolve a failed payment as soon as you can within the 7 days. Billing settings live under Billing in the dashboard — see Managing your subscription for where to go.
Cancelling during the trial
You can cancel any time during your 14 days at no cost — nothing has been charged yet, so cancelling before day 15 means you’re never billed.
